In most cases the biggest concern when it comes to wedding planning is the budget. Just remember, it’s important to close your budget before starting on anything else wedding planning related.

Most wedding venues get booked months in advance so it is important that this is one of the first steps you do in your wedding planning. Consider factors such as weather, location, and space size. Do you want two different venues for your ceremony and reception or would you prefer doing it all at one place? Once you pick your perfect location(s) the rest of your planning gets easier. 

Pick Your Guest List 

Yet another hard decision when it comes to wedding planning is who should and who shouldn’t be invited. Before starting your list, know the approximate number of guests you would like at your wedding. Take a seat and and start listing categories like close relatives, friends, neighbors, coworkers and mutual friends or acquaintances. Mark off the names of guests whose absence would definitely make a difference and make sure to include them in your final list.

As fun as it is to plan a wedding it can also be super stressful at times. Hiring an experienced wedding coordinator who can take care of your wedding checklist and organize everything as per your convenience is a great way to reduce the stress of planning. If you are leaning towards this option, make sure you hire a planner well in advance so that they can start putting everything together from the beginning. 

Choosing the Right Photographer/Videographer 

Picking the right photographer and videographer may arguably be one of the most important things on your wedding checklist. Your wedding is supposed to be one of the most magical days of your life. You want every moment captured in the best way possible. Interview photographers in your area and make sure to let them know exactly what you want when it comes to your photos and video. 

Find the Perfect Dress

Find the gown that makes you feel the most beautiful. While dress shopping, make sure the dress you end up choosing checks every box of must-haves on your list. Paying attention to how you feel in each dress can help you decide between dresses and lead to the moment where you find “the one.” 

Invitation Selection 

Do plenty of research before you finalize your invitations. Select the colors and designs you like. Do you want something subtle or do you want your invitations to directly reflect the theme of your wedding? 

Entertainment Options 

You can't have a good wedding without music and entertainment. Get your hands on a list of the best bands and DJ's in your area, and book one well in advance. If you want something more than just music look into having dance performers or other entertainers.
